| Conservation Corner |
|
Dolphins, Sharks and Coral Under Threat
Each month issues relating to diving are brought to our attention. Whether it be Saving Sharks or Project Aware, we are educated on needs surrounding diving. In our new feature, Conservation Corner, we will try to highlight causes related to our diving population.
Diving with dolphins, sharks or over coral reefs are some of the most thrilling and unforgettable experiences on the planet. Unfortunately, scientists have recently declared some of these species vulnerable, endangered or critically endangered.
If you haven't yet taken action for their protection, there's still time to get involved. Project AWARE Foundation and its core group of committed divers are addressing these urgent conservation issues.

Let the professionals "winterize" your valuable equipment
You've just returned from your vacation full of memories of playful dolphins and walks along the beach. Unfortunately, it's not only your memories that are full of salt and sand.
Drop your equipment off with the Repair professionals at Underwater Phantaseas and let them handle the post-dive cleaning and equipment inspection. Regulators, BCD's, and wetsuits will be cleaned and conditioned, inside and out, complete with diagnostic testing to ensure your equipment is put away in perfect condition. Regulator and BCD cleaning is $15. Add a wetsuit for just $10 more.
Don't let your bathroom become a scuba gear wasteland, with equipment strewn throughout after a half hearted soaking. Let the professionals take care of the equipment that takes care of you! |
