Bonaire

June 29 - July 7, 2012

Ask any diver friend, and chances are they'll say they have been to Bonaire, or it's high on their list of dream destinations.  The same holds true for those of us at Underwater Phantaseas, and the reason we keep going back year after year!

Known as the shore diving capital of the world, Bonaire provides incredible diving just steps from your front door. It doesn't get any more convenient! Whether setting the new one week number of dives record (currently held by Ryan at 36), or just want a relaxing vacation, Bonaire has something for everyone.

Seminar Series -  REEF and Fish ID

REEF Logo

Join Pam and Terry Hillegas on Tuesday, January 10 at 6pm for our seminar series on REEF and Fish ID. Reef Environmental Education Foundation (REEF) was founded in 1990 as a way to provide the SCUBA diving community a way to contribute to the understanding and protection of marine populations through its volunteer fish monitoring program, the REEF Fish Survey Project. In addition to the REEF Fish Survey Project, REEF leads efforts such as the Invasive Lionfish Program, the Grouper Moon Program and provides research assistance to scientific groups.

Pam and Terry Hillegas obtained their scuba certifications with Underwater Phantaseas 13 years ago and have logged close to 400 dives. They started volunteering with REEF two years ago and have participated in both the REEF Fish Survey Project and the Invasive Lionfish Program.

Call the shop at 303-220-8282 to register for the REEF seminar.  Details can be found on our website.

Conservation Corner - Sea Save Foundation
Sea Save Logo

Sea Save Foundation, formerly known as Imaging Foundation, focuses on ocean conservation, spearheading the launch of Costa Rican Marine Imaging Project (CRMIP), in 1995. This highly successful precursor of Sea Save Foundation recognized a strong need for marine related educational programs in Costa Rica. Using creative solutions CRMIP was able to execute several national educational programs with little funding.
