Conservation Corner
Sea TurtlesSea Turtle Survival League
Each month issues relating to diving are brought to our attention.  Whether it be Saving Sharks or Project Aware, we are educated on needs surrounding diving.  In this feature, Conservation Corner, we will try to highlight causes related to our diving population.

Our latest travels gave us the opportunity to see turtles up close and personal, both during our dives around Sipadan, Malaysia, as well as at Selingan Island, one of three turtle nesting islands within Malaysian waters.  It is with this in mind that we highlight Sea Turtles in this month's Conservation Corner.

Since its founding in 1959, the Sea Turtle Survival League work has greatly improved the survival outlook for several species of sea turtles. It is their mission to ensure the survival of sea turtles within the Wider Caribbean basin and Atlantic through research, education, training, advocacy and the protection of the natural habitats upon which they depend.

You've just returned from your vacation full of memories of playful dolphins and walks along the beach.  Unfortunately, it's not only your memories that are full of salt and sand.

Drop your equipment off with the Repair professionals at Underwater Phantaseas and let them handle the post-dive cleaning and equipment inspection.  Regulators, BCD's, and wetsuits will be cleaned and conditioned, inside and out, complete with diagnostic testing to ensure your equipment is put away in perfect condition.  Regulator and BCD cleaning is $15.  Add a wetsuit for just $10 more.
