Colorado Scuba Bash
The Bahama Islands are located southeast of Florida and consist of more than 700 islands covering 1,000 square miles of ocean.  From blue holes to walls, caves and shipwrecks, shallow elkhorn coral forests to pelagics both large and small, the Bahamas offer something for every type of diver!

We'll be spending seven nights at the Breezes Resort.  This luxurious resort is situated on one of Nassau's most famous white-sand beaches, Cable Beach.  We'll be diving with Stuart Cove's Dive Bahamas. They have been diving the reefs, wrecks and coral walls of Nassau for 30 years.

Join us this November as we explore Nassau.  Get all the details here.

Equipment Tip of the month
Service CenterWhen it comes to diving, apparently I don't speak English.  At least that's what my diving buddy, who happens to be British, keeps saying.  It started simply enough when we pulled our regulators out of our bags to set them up.  I had let everyone know to set up their gear.  My dive buddy quickly corrected my "Americanism" by letting me know our equipment package is actually called a kit, and we should all "Kit Up".  We hadn't even left the dock, and I was already being corrected.

While we tightened down our Yoke style regulators, he proudly screwed in his "superior" DIN valve, noting its' higher pressure rating and more secure fit.  Reserved mostly for tech diving and the Europeans, it's rare to run into a DIN fitting on a regulator anywhere in the world, and even when you do, they are easy to convert to a yoke fitting with what we affectionately term a "donut".

Prior to leaving the dock, I reminded everyone to check to make sure they had 3000psi in their tanks.  This is where we went downhill.  The imperial vs. metric debate rages on all over the world, with the US being one of the few holdouts to the imperial system.  So of course I was scolded that the only true measurement is metric, and that he had his requisite 200 bar.  Fortunately, I'm bilingual, speaking in both feet and meters, and was able . . . click here to keep reading.

When a good deal isn't always soDiva Diver!
"The best deals are always on the internet."  This is a sentiment we have heard before in our years of business.  Yet as I was recently ringing up a sale with one of our clients, she made a point to mention that she should be used as an internet case study.

She let me know that she was looking for a new wetsuit, and went online to do the research.  Prior to pushing "Buy Now", she decided to stop in and check out what we had to offer.  Having found the same suit she was about to purchase online, she tried on the size that she had selected in her internet "shopping cart."

After requesting a smaller size and deciding that was the best suit for her, she came to the counter to pay.  Her direct quote - "I was looking online for this exact suit.  I'm so glad I came in.  I would have paid $10 more and ordered the wrong size."

We're proud to offer a wide selection of scuba and snorkeling equipment, and want to thank you for trusting us to be your source for all your diving needs.  We strive to offer a great value in our equipment, with the service and support you have come to expect from Underwater Phantaseas!
