Bonaire's sea abounds with beautiful marine life and a fascinating variety of multi-colored tropical fish. The sea is remarkably clear and conditions are superb for scuba diving and snorkeling for all ages.
Bonaire has more than 80 dive sites listed by the Bonaire Marine Park! The islands implementation of marine conservation efforts more than 30 years ago have helped to keep Bonaire's reef system extremely healthy. Their fringing reef begins close to the shore, usually a short 30 foot swim or less, making Bonaire world renowned for its shore diving.

Aurora Reservoir Cleanup
Come join us this Saturday, August 6th for a beach and underwater clean up at our local diving hot spot, Aurora Reservoir. Your help will make our local reservoir a more beautiful place to visit and dive.
When: This Staruday, August 6, 2011
Where: Aurora Reservoir Dive Area (East side)
Time: 8am - 12pm
Note: Must be 18 to participate in underwater cleanup.
Aurora Reservoir and Underwater Phantaseas will provide:
* Parking passes to Aurora
* Water
* Boat for trash pick up
* Shelter
* Lunch
* Clean-up bags
* Coolers of water and cups
* Lift bags, reels and marker buoys as needed
* Discount on rental equipment (must be picked up prior to event)

Equipment Tip of the month - Life Support Equipment
 To rent or to own? This is a question we get asked all the time at the store. We rent equipment, and obviously we sell gear as well, so we understand both sides of the equation. Having worked in the islands, we also have the background to answer questions about equipment in a third world country.

PADI SEAL and Master SEAL Starting this month
 The PADI SEAL Team program is going to start making a splash. Underwater Phantaseas is excited to bring your kids the joy of scuba diving in this introductory program and offer them a certification just like Mom and Dad! Designed for kids 8 and older, the course is a series of Aquamissions taught in 2 hour blocks over 3 days. The Seal Team member will learn the basics of scuba diving in a fun and safe environment.
Upon completion of the Seal program, students can continue on to the Master Seal rating. Taught the 3rd Wednesday and 3rd Thursday of the month (except for August), the Master Seal program introduces divers to specialty Aquamissions like Navigation and Night diving.

JOIN US FOR A POOL WORKOUT
 Looking to do a pool workout before your next trip but only have evenings available? Then this is the answer for you!
We have select dates available for you to practice your skills throughout the year. $10 covers your pool time, one rental tank and any scuba equipment you may need. Please call to RSVP as we have limited availability each night.
The pool will be available from 6 - 9pm on the following nights:
