Spotlight: Africa
Just the mention of the name "Africa" conjures images in ones mind of an exotic and exhilarating land filled with thousands of wild animals. An African safari, especially at the height of the Great Migration, is a never-to-be-forgotten life changing experience. Every year between August and October, Africa's annual Great Migration moves from the Serengeti of Tanzania into the Masai Mara of Kenya in one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world. Over two million herbivores partake in this journey, with about 200,000 zebra and 500,000 Thomson's gazelle behind the main players... one-and-a-half million wildebeest! We will be perfectly positioned in our tented luxury safari camp at Bateleur Camp at Kichwa Tembo to witness this awe-inspiring event.

CNN Reports Travel Agents are making a comeback
 CNN.com/travel reports that travelers are defecting away from on-line travel booking sites and going back to the brick-and-mortar travel agent. They are going back to the travel agent, an industry that many industry experts once thought to be passé with the advent of online booking. "Travel agents have personal experience traveling in the area, so they can give you a personal recommendation". "It's a cut-and-paste experience when you book on-line". "None of the sites are going to tell me what I can do with different options."

Equipment Tip of the month
Whether it's a dive computer or a dive watch, timepieces built for scuba diving are amazingly rugged and built to withstand significant depths and other extremes. However, taking the time to properly care for these precision instruments will help insure long life and reliable service.
- Thoroughly rinse with fresh water after every dive
- Pay special attention to metal contacts, cleaning occassionally with a soft toothbrush and mild detergent
- Get a service check up and calibration at least every two years
- Inspect wristbands and buckles for wear, tears and corrosion before each trip
- Protect from heat, direct sunlight and harsh chemicals
- Store in a cool, dry and ventilated area. Avoid prolonged storage in damp enviroments (like your dive bag)
These few tips can extend the life and reliability of your timepiece.
