The PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer (MSDT) course is designed to train PADI Instructors on how to organize, market and conduct PADI Specialty Diver Courses. The MSDT is actually 5 Specialty Instructor courses conducted in an integrated manner over 5 days. The course involves academic presentations and 12 open water dives. Candidates are shown how to conduct training dives, briefings and scenarios. Subjects include deep diving techniques, air consumption calculations, navigation skills, selection and implementation of appropriate search patterns and the use of lift bags.
COMPLETION REQUIREMENTS:
Each Specialty Application requires 10 logged dives in that specialty. Candidates qualify for Master Scuba Diver Trainer rating only after they have certified 25 divers and have submitted a separate application to PADI. The MSDT application fee is the Instructors' responsibility.
