Basic Scuba Course

Congratulations!

You're about to take the first step in becoming a certified Scuba Diver! The first course in your training, Open Water Scuba Diver, is your chance to learn the basics of diving, building your foundation to becoming a skilled diver. Upon completion of the course, you will be a PADI Open Water Scuba Diver, a certification known the world over.

The certification process is broken down into two components:

1. Academic and Confined Water Training

2. Open Water Certification Dives.

Academic and Confined Water Training

Offered numerous times per month, the Academic and Confined Water training portions of the Open Water Scuba Diver build the foundation for your training, teaching you to be a safe and competent diver. The Academic training is conducted in one of our classrooms located in the lower level of our retail facility, or online at your convenience. A few steps away you will find the largest and deepest dedicated heated dive pool in the State of Colorado, designed specifically with your Confined Water training in mind. Using the knowledge you have gained throughout your academic studies, the underwater world will be opened as you experience your first breath underwater. This is your opportunity to get comfortable with the water, equipment and theory of scuba diving. Your professional instructor will be supervising your training at all times to attend to your individual needs.

The Academic and Confined Water Program:

  • Your choice of Academic and Confined Water Training dates.
  • Student Kit: includes your Open Water Diver Manual, eRDPML dive planner and logbook pages.
