Along Ambergris Caye the reef is comprised of spectacular three dimensional coral formations. There are a great number of pelagic fish such as sharks and rays, and also commonly seen are turtles and porpoise.
Ambergris is the largest and most popular of the offshore Cayes, with 25 miles of Belize's barrier reef sitting less than a mile offshore. The visibility is on average of 150 ft., which makes this entire stretch of reef ideal for photography.
We’ll be staying at Ramon’s Village on Ambergris Caye. Ramon’s has thatched-roof cabanas, in a beautiful tropical setting, along with a lagoon-style pool. This resort makes a great location to explore Ambergris Caye above and below the surface.
Our package includes six days of 2 tank dives right from the resort with short boat rides. Belize is a great place to try fish identification, or practice your macro photography on the red banded coral shrimp. You will also have a opportunity for optional dives to visit the famous “Blue Hole”, Turneffe or Lighthouse Reef.
Belize trips always fill up quickly. There is limited hotel space this year, so we are limiting the trip to just 12 people. Please don’t delay in signing up. A $300 deposit and a signed trip agreement are required to hold your spot with us in Belize.
