Palau Yap 2009 Trip Report

Ranking in my Top 3, Palau and Yap has been on my list to return since we stepped off the plane coming home the first time. Sharks, mantas, cuttlefish and mandarin gobies are some of the highlights of these epic destinations.

The Palau Aggressor II was our home for our week in Palau, and we were spoiled rotten. They have one of the best crews we've ever had, and we were pampered all week long while we explored famous sites like Blue Corner, German Channel and Jellyfish Lake.
yap We then jetted off to Manta Ray Bay Hotel in Yap to see their famous Manta Rays and Mandarin Gobies. We were not disappointed, enjoying numerous encounters up close and personal.

Palau has been called the epicenter of all life underwater. Add to this already incredible trip the chance to experience Yap, the island known for it's Stone Money, Manta Ray encounters, and mating Mandarin Gobies. What more could one want in one single trip?

We will be spending 7 nights aboard the Palau Aggressor, followed by 5 nights in Yap. Each of these destinations offers luxurious accommodations with some of the best diving in the world!

This tour has it all! The diving in Palau is summed up as world class. Sharks galore at Blue Corner, snorkeling Jellyfish Lake, plus numerous up close encounters with over 2,000 species of fascinating sea life.

We’ll have the chance to see turtles, mantas, lionfish, giant clams, cuttlefish, and much more. Once we’ve been spoiled by the waters of Palau, we’ll head to Yap, well known as a scuba diving Mecca.

Yap has pristine reefs and clear waters that feature some of the best intact marine ecosystem in the world. Although Manta encounters are the dream of this destination, the diving throughout the island is spectacular.
